How my Practice Tests can Help You?
The Entrance test for the FRNSW is managed by PearsonVue. I sat & passed their entrance test in 2024.
I recommend you take their practice tests but the problem is; they don't show you the answers, they don't provide you with realistic tests nor provide you all the types of questions found on the entrance test.
This is why I created this website; to help anyone who was in the same position as me; you want extra questions specific to the entrance test, you don't want to waste time looking for practice material online & you don't want to spend a lot of money. That's also why these tests are free.

"I Just wanted to say a big thanks for putting together the free FRNSW practice materials. They were super helpful in the lead-up to my entrance test — I felt way more prepared and ended up doing really well. Using your exam definitely helped build my confidence. Really appreciate it!"– Liam T.

What Our Customers Say
Real feedback from our satisfied customers

“Appreciate you checking in – the content is honestly spot on. It's exactly what I needed to give me that extra edge. Feeling a lot more confident heading into the next stage. I'll reach out if I get stuck, but so far, it's been brilliant. Cheers!”
Tom S

“The material's been incredibly helpful so far. It's clear, easy to follow, and way more relevant than other stuff I've used. It's given me a proper direction instead of just winging it. Thanks heaps – really glad I found this.”

How to Get the Most Out of the Practice Tests
Your Study Guide for Smarter Preparation
Core Principles for Success:
- Don't rush or cram. Repeating the same test over and over in one sitting loses its value quickly.
- Spread your practice out over multiple days or weeks — real progress comes from reflection and repetition over time.
- Don't try to finish every question. This test is designed to be tough under timed conditions. If you get stuck, take your best guess and move on.
- The more consistent your effort, the better your results.
Sit the Practice Test
- • Take the test under realistic timed conditions.
- • Record the date and your score.
- • Avoid reading the explanations immediately after the test — this helps you reflect independently first.
- • Ask yourself:
- - Did you try to complete every question and end up rushing?
- - Did you spend too long on a few tricky ones?
- • Write down how you approached the test and what you'd do differently next time.
Identify Your Strengths & Weaknesses
- • Break down your score by section (e.g. numerical, verbal, abstract).
- • Work out your percentage accuracy for each section.
- • What came naturally? What felt confusing or slow?
- • This will shape your focus moving forward.
Target Your Weak Areas
- • Re-attempt the questions in your weakest section without reviewing the answers first.
- • Then, carefully go through the explanations.
- • Take your time to understand why you got a question wrong — this is where real improvement happens.
- • If an explanation doesn't make sense, reach out. I'm here to help.
- • Once you've reviewed and understood your errors, try the same section again.
- • If you improve — great progress!
- • If you don't, ask yourself what's still unclear. Are you misunderstanding the question type?Feeling rushed? Keep digging until you get clarity.
- • Repeat this process for any other weaker areas.
Retake the Test After a Break
- • Leave at least a full day before retaking the full test.
- • This helps keep your brain fresh and mimics real-world test pressure.
- • Sit the test again under the same timed conditions.
- • Record your new score and compare it to your earlier attempt.
- • Break down your section results again and evaluate your progress.
Review Your Progress & Next Steps
- • Did your overall score go up?
- • Did you improve in your weaker sections?
- • If not, revisit Step 3 until you see gains — there's no rush. Growth takes time.
- • If you're still struggling:
- - Consider getting a second pair of eyes — maybe someone who can help talk you through problem areas.
- - Keep using this resource strategically — it's designed to stretch and sharpen the exact skills you'll need to pass.
Final Advice:
Smart preparation beats scattered effort. Use this practice test intentionally, give yourself space to grow, and you'll enter the real exam with confidence — knowing you've trained like a pro.
Why I Created NSW Fire and Rescue Aptitude Test

"The material was super helpful in the lead-up to my exam. Passed the test and honestly don't think I would've without this." – Liam T.
Hi, my name's Sam and I created this resource to help aspiring firefighters who want to join NSW Firefighter and Rescue.
After going through the process myself — and successfully passing the FRV, Fire & Rescue NSW, and Air services (Aviation Rescue Firefighting) aptitude tests — I realised just how tough and competitive these entry processes can be, especially if you walk in unprepared or relying only on generic material.
That's why I put together this targeted practice resource — designed specifically to help you build confidence, sharpen your skills, and walk into the test ready to perform at your best.
How It Started?
When I was preparing for the FRNSW aptitude test, I struggled to find practice material that was actually relevant — most of it was either too broad or just didn't match the style or difficulty of the real thing.
So I started building my own study system — realistic practice questions, timed sessions, and breakdowns that helped me identify my strengths and fix my weak spots. It worked.
I began sharing some of the material with a few mates going through the same journey, and the feedback was overwhelming. That's when I decided to turn it into something that could help others on a larger scale.
This resource gives you access to high-quality practice materials built specifically
around the format and style of the FRV aptitude test. It's not just about drilling
questions — it's about developing the kind of speed, accuracy, and decision-making you
need to succeed under pressure.
Helping others prepare for and pass these tests has been genuinely rewarding. I know
how big a deal it is to get through that first hurdle — and if I can help make that
happen for you, I'm all in.
If you ever get stuck or need advice, feel free to reach out below — I'm happy to help.
All the best,
Sam
